I had announced in a previous posting to report at this point once again about the change of media through Web 2.0. Today, it is however not Citizen Journalism or like to go, but an attempt to combine Google's high-class professional journalism with the new technical possibilities of Web 2.0. The speech is launched from Living Stories, a project that Google, in cooperation with the New York Times and Washington Post a few days ago.
This is it, in short, about helping you to present high quality content in larger thematic contexts and in this way can context and background better recognize - as we all know is a central goal of political education. Watch as actual examples but even the Living Stories to "The War in Afghanistan "or " The Politics of Global Warming ". The whole thing is presented in a highly interactive, platform provided by Google that allows you to very different approaches to the subject. Read more in the embedded video below.
Two specific uses for your lessons have occurred to me spontaneously. Once Living Stories can be personalized with a lot easier to create high-quality working papers, because you have to look, not all possible documents, information and documents in many different places on the Web, but these from one location accessible to you.
Second, I would imagine high school students who have sufficient English language skills, even once compiled on the basis of one or another small presentation to make.
Finally I would like not deny that there is some criticism of this project. As a particularly interesting and worth thinking why I would like to recommend the addition post by Philipp Lenssen at Google Blogscop'd blog.
