"Over 60% of U.S. state governments have gone Google"
the starting point to detail the fundamental problems connecting to the hosting of government data by a private company to reflect. I want to reflect the slightly longer article here, but rather encourage you to view the original text itself, and then once there, your opinion on the arguments advanced here in a comment to share with other readers.
